I expect it to arrive next month and was wondering what others think. I've noticed mixed steam reviews, mainly about hardware problems, but I assume those will be resolved by then. How does it feel overall?
Runs pretty great on my rig at max settings. The only thing I'm worried about is that the temps during game play are in the 90s, which seems insanely high. I'm not sure weather it's Corsair Link acting up or my CPU is bad... regardless looks amazing having a lot of fun so far!
At first, I thought microtransactions were only for Breach mode, a side challenge separate from the main story. It seems there might be some included in the story mode too, something not mentioned in early press materials. It appears you don’t need to rely on them to advance smoothly, and I’m planning to skip them.
It was surprisingly affordable, and they don't support micro transactions. I'm okay with low-quality DLC for Total War: Warhammer—it's been quite enjoyable overall.
Essentially every negative review centers around similar themes: 1) microtransactions, 2) one-time preorder perks, 3) performance issues, 4) the story sidesteps its own concerns, and 5) the ending feels rushed. #1 and #2 are hard to justify, but I assure you you can enjoy the whole game without any negative impact. #3...my excitement was high, but now I’m stuck midway through the ATM, so I can’t comment on #5. These points are tough to dismiss, but I’ve played through the whole experience and ignored them completely without losing any fun. #4...the game has its flaws, but it stands up to scrutiny. Deus Ex delivers a strong narrative without dictating your thoughts—letting you form your own opinions. That’s why it stands out as a great series. Overall, I recommend getting the game. I’m a big fan of Steam deals and have only bought a few full-price titles, yet this one felt like a solid investment at $60.
