Hey everyone, when I play Overwatch my FPS counter shows 110-130 FPS, but in intense team fights it seems like only 20-40 FPS. The counter on my monitor only goes up to 80, and with a 144Hz screen, that doesn’t match what I feel. I have 16GB RAM, an i7-3770 GPU, GTX 970, and I’m curious if this discrepancy helps or not.

due to the way 144Hz panels handle refresh rates, 80fps feels similar to 30fps on a 60Hz screen. it's not just about the numbers shown, but how timing between frames affects smoothness. your current settings might not support v-sync at 144Hz, which would help with stability during intense moments.

When idle, the CPU and RAM usage remain low, as they are not actively processing tasks or running applications. The system conserves resources by keeping these components in a minimal state.

Your issue is clear—your performance is unusually high. There are many background processes active.
