You recently downloaded HITMAN and noticed significant lag. It might be due to either your internet connection or the performance of your computer. Your PC specs include an AMD FX 8320 CPU, GTX 980 Ti GPU, 8GB RAM (2x4 @ 800Mhz), a 1TB WD Blue HDD, and Windows 10 with about 1 MB/s internet speed.

Refers to slow or uneven frame rates, or odd timing issues during gameplay. In singleplayer mode, the problem is likely low performance.

It would likely not lead to noticeable lag, just a bit below top frame rates.

I knew about the delay, but the 980 Ti was available for under $1,060 with 6GB storage.

5 to 20 frames per second is not suitable, reduce your settings.

Check your heat levels and processor and graphics activity. See how CPU usage and temperatures compare during slow moments versus smoother frames. Have you reduced graphics quality or settings before noticing the lag?

there’s nothing causing thermal throttling, but adjusting settings didn’t help much.
