It's hard to believe Crysis launched nearly ten years ago.
I just discovered my old Crysis 1 DVD and completely missed how long it took to release. I recall playing it on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ with an 8600GTS.
Only recently could we fully utilize single GPUs for that game, which effectively stopped the question "Can it run Crysis?"
I recall my first Crysis experience had just one central processing unit and 4GB of memory, wow!
Wow, when it first launched I was around 12 years old. I was pushing the Q6600 to 3.3 GHz and the 8800GT kept overheating. I ended up replacing a few motherboards and power supplies because the PSU was handling too much load. I also faced some issues with cheap components, which likely caused the PSU to fail when someone used explosives near a gas station. It was a rough start, but I managed to get it working again after several upgrades.
