I've been enjoying the game for a few hours and it immediately drops you into challenging missions. The optimization works well, supporting 1440p on the highest settings with a 970 device. It feels quite similar to AC2, which was my favorite. They made several changes that surprised me—I expected something more like Black Flag. Still dislike the UBI in Unity, but overall it's improving.

They incorporated the finest elements of Black Flag and enhanced them. If anything, I’d choose it purely for playing pirates again. That’s the sole motivation behind my purchase of AC BF—otherwise it felt like a dull experience with unremarkable characters. Still, 6.5/10 just for the pirate ship.

I also considered Black Flag, but so far AC:R stands out more in that area. It’s a complete release with a different experience. It came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 a few months back.
