I tried my best with cable management. I followed the $2k build Linus suggested. The main change was adding extra intake fans inside the box. Three of them specifically. That’s all. I moved the cables to the side of the computer case (AL900) so they’re less visible as much as possible. Still, it’s tough—there are too many wires. The biggest problem is the 4080 motherboard, which needs three VGA cables and several power cords. That’s a lot for one component. The motherboard cable is especially thick, almost as wide as the main board itself. I have two mainboard cables, and the GPU VGA cords are even thicker. I have to route them from the same side of the box to the back, which means a huge amount of wires. I’m not sure how others manage such a mess. How do people keep it organized? I can barely fit everything in the back of the AL900 case. I use Velcro to secure cords, but it’s still chaotic. With all the fan and RGB cables, it’s really overwhelming. What’s the best way to hide so many wires and look neat?
Typically I opt for the quickest path to the access points or holes to reach the back of the PC. Occasionally I wrap the wire around the CPU mount screws, especially with AIO setups. The process follows a consistent layout, keeping routes uniform. If you run the wire in one direction, mirror the rest accordingly. This creates a clear visual pattern of hidden wires instead of a mix of methods. Share a few photos of your setup and we can offer advice.
Can't view images, so I'm relying on my imagination... most of it's visible, but the connections are clear and logical. It's challenging for me, but I'm improving. Using a fan hub can make a big difference if done correctly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
refers to a typical setup with one CPU core, usually one GPU with 0-3 cores, fans ranging from 3 to 5, plus USB 1 audio and one FP. It’s around 12 cables total. I think I missed something, but it shouldn’t be too bad—most cases have dedicated slots in the case. Edit: SATA drives are fine, and NVMe is great.
