I need to set up a server for Assetto Corsa. I opened the necessary ports on my router, but my PC isn’t showing up. I’m using a ZFold 3 and connecting via USB tether or Wi-Fi through my phone. I tried using the phone’s IP address to open ports, but it didn’t work. Anyone have tips on how to access the ports from my phone?

I don’t understand what’s happening, though. Command lines can be useful, but I’m unsure where to place them or what they do. I know about Netcat, but it seems to be more about generating traffic than anything else.

You'll need to do some reading and learning. Ideally avoid using a phone as a middle device—it's functioning as a second router/NAT and isn't reliable. The discussion also suggests checking out an app available in the Play Store that might help, though its effectiveness is uncertain.

The root answer demands a rooted device because the files aren't available directly on a phone by default. Once rooted, you can execute commands locally. The non-root method uses adb—a development utility—to enable developer options on your phone, then run the command from your PC after installing the Android CLI tools. For more details, check the linked resources and follow the instructions for running the command on the device itself.

It seems the configuration is quite complex with multiple layers of routing. You shouldn’t link your PC straight to the router, then route specific ports through the router. Instead, forward the desired ports to the PC’s IP address using the router’s settings.
