Yeah, I've already played through the trilogy four times, Insanity included. I think that's something I forgot to add to my OP, I didn't make it clear that I've played through the game and done the mako missions already, so I have that experience lol. I decided I'm only going to do the world exploration on my Insanity run.
I'm curious about the timeline and the plans for its development.
I aimed to finish as much as possible and really enjoyed it. A pleasant background space similar to music enhanced the experience, and I appreciated spending extra time on the planet descriptions. I found the planet histories particularly engaging, even though I recognize some might find the resource collection mini-game a bit dull.
If you've experienced the ME saga multiple times, it makes sense to revisit with a strategic approach. On my most recent attempt, I simply looked up the star system on the N7 tablet, gathered key points of interest, and saved the time that would otherwise be spent wandering empty worlds or orbits. I believe most of the miscellaneous ME1 content was simply tacked onto the end of Conrad Verner's narrative in ME3. ME2's developments have a much stronger influence than ME1 (as I remember). From your point of view about character and family growth, this perspective is valuable.
Interestingly, I discovered exploring ME2 was quite entertaining compared to the mining in the initial game. There’s a real thrill in seeing the resource bar surge when you land a big find. Lol
The section was impressive, yet upon visiting planets packed with buildable structures, it becomes clear that Bioware repeatedly used identical buildings and props, just tweaking them slightly.
