Is it truly beneficial to visit each planet in Mass Effect 1? I’ve tackled it before, but I’m planning three to four full runs through the ME trilogy on PC while leveling up to an Insanity session. I’m still questioning whether all that repetitive Mako exploration during the initial playthroughs is really worthwhile.

It's actually not a good idea, you can complete the game on Easy to Hard without them. You might feel like it's crazy to spend all that money just for the best upgrades.

It's enjoyable to maneuver the Mako. Taking on aliens and other fun challenges with it.

The main campaign in ME1 is impressive. However, they relied heavily on copying and pasting for the secondary elements. ME2 and ME3 avoid this issue.

I got really into Mass Effect without completing the extra Mako missions. I only played the one where you land on the Moon, but I’d do those again since they’re enjoyable.

I suggest keep going until you notice repetition becoming heavy. A few side quests really matter because they shape future stories, though others might just add little value.

The space exploration aspect is somewhat repeated yet adds value to the game. Rather than eliminating it in ME2 or ME3, they could have enhanced it.

Classic chaos. Mako messes things up, that's all.
