I’ve had a chance to play CS:GO with a friend, and I managed to get decent results in about 20 minutes. In my view, F4 is more challenging.

It doesn't work that way. If you believe you're capable, compete at the GN3+ level. BF4 needs almost no talent.

Skins affect gameplay. As a CSGO player, I notice they can distract players. People often focus on their skins instead of the match. Once I had one yesterday during a 1v1, someone was checking his P90 camo while ignoring the situation, and he caught up quickly.
