I am playing optifabric mod for version 1.18.2 on my RTX 3080 (running at 1440p) and my R5 5600G processor, so I get about 120 to 140 frames per second on a bsl map, around 80 to 90 fps on seasus maps, and up to 180 to 200 fps on complimentary maps. But something weird happens when I go to my base: my frame rate crashes down to 40 or 35 while the CPU usage is 60% and GPU usage is only between 25 and 27 percent. The problem is that when I am not near my base, both the CPU and GPU use about 70 to 90 percent. What's most annoying is this: whenever I turn my head toward my base while standing in front of it, the GPU usage instantly drops to just 25 percent, but if I look away from the base, it jumps back up to between 70 and 80 percent. How can I stop this?

well, that is because OptiFabric isn't as good as Iris. Using Iris with sodium, lithium, Starlight plus C2Me and more mods to the fabric or quilt gives much better results than just using OptiFabric alone.
