It's still in beta for testing. The rules aren't fully applied just yet. Once it's ready, they'll be strictly followed.

This performance isn't very quick. A single-channel setup significantly impacts gaming speed on Ryzen. Regardless, upgrading to faster RAM would be a wise move. 2x8GB at 3000MHz or above works well. Since the Ryzen 5 1600 is only the first generation by name, it's quite similar to the 2600. Did Microsoft or AMD officially say both the 14nm and 12nm versions are not supported? The microarchitecture and firmware should still work together (though this won't matter for someone who already has a cheaper second-gen CPU).

The upgrade to the 2600 will be quite significant. You'll be adding 2 cores and 8 threads, plus the benefits from Zen+. At $120 CAD it seems like a solid value. Have you experimented with overclocking the RAM to boost performance, or is your motherboard unable to handle that?

Certain A320 boards can support high-speed RAM even if the chipset doesn’t officially recognize it. Using such RAM can surprise you nicely.

For Ryzen processors, a frequency range of 3000 to 3600 MHz is suitable depending on the specific model and use case.

It focuses on Zen+ design principles. As mentioned before, Windows 11 aims to handle VBS/HVCI security directly on the hardware. For this, the processor must support the GMET instructions (Intel refers to it as MBEC). Essentially, Windows 11 treats these features as mandatory, while Windows 10 allows them to be enabled if desired.

No, it’s not recommended. The combination 2x8 2666 cl16 is outdated and unsupported.
