I reviewed the MSI Center Live Update area and noticed a BIOS update listed under "Motherboard LED Firmware" in the Advanced section. Updating BIOS through software isn’t ideal, but this option isn’t available on MSI’s official site or accessible via the BIOS menu. It seems you should consider updating it if you want the latest firmware.

Following @LWM723's advice, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it," it seems your system might already be fine. This could be a simple patch for RGB LEDs, which may not improve stability or performance. Since BIOS updates can be complex, it's best to keep things as they are unless you have a specific reason to change them.

I'll keep it like that. Perhaps I'll reach out to MSI support to find out more about it. The motherboard features RGB lighting, it's the B550 Gaming Edge Wi-Fi, and everything seems fine so far.

It's a change to the onboard software controlling the RGB. Asus adds LED firmware updates to their BIOS releases when new versions are available. Using these updates lets you revert to an earlier BIOS while keeping the LED firmware intact.
