Purchased a 6700XT last month and cleaned my PC. While dusting, noticed this in the GPU heat sink fins (link provided). What is this white substance? Is there anything I should do about it? Should I consider returning the item?

It's just dust. If the fans are simple to take out, a vacuum brush attachment can help clean them easily. It might be useful to install filters for any intake case.

It seems you're dealing with stubborn dust that's tightly attached. A cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol should help remove it effectively.

Seems like typical dust buildup. If it bothers you, try using compressed air or a soft-bristled brush to remove stubborn particles.

Used the q tip with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean the fins, but only part of them came off. The residue feels powdery and I worry it could indicate corrosion. Since you're in a tropical area without ocean access, should I consider returning the product for an RMA?
