I received it without cost with my Aorus RX 5700-XT and Resident Evil 3, which I can’t claim since it hasn’t been released. It runs very smoothly at around 75 FPS on full resolution (refresh rate). I haven’t progressed much yet, but it looks impressive. Have you tried it? How did it perform for you? Do you enjoy the game?
I really enjoyed it, but I got it to share with a friend. It turns out the game isn’t fun to play together. There’s a confusing rule that prevents you from completing story quests unless one of you has already finished them. This means both of us end up playing the same quest alone, which is really frustrating. The game was meant to be cooperative, but the co-op system didn’t work well for us. We tried playing for four hours straight and just quit because the experience felt broken.
I enjoy the game, though I sometimes find it hard to pause for longer sessions since I usually play solo. It’s confusing why I can’t take breaks when needed.
It's really frustrating. This completely changes the dynamics for both of us.
Yep, over 300+ hours. Been a while since I dump this many hours into a game. The QoL improvements compare to previous MH games is nice. For how it runs, I play at 4K with some settings tune. Mostly getting around 40-55 fps. Don't really bother me, plus I play with a dualshock controller with the game on PC. Also, a tip for all the folks that want to co-op Story Quests. Have all the folks that want to co-op start said quest, watch to the cut-scene, after that is done. Have all others drop out of said quest and join into one's person quest. After cut-scene, you should see a notification saying you can now SoS the quest. This means the internal check mark for that quest is now saved and folks can co-op it together. But yeah, sucks one has to go this round about way to co-op those. This basically what me and a bud do for the majority of standard MHW and Iceborne story quests.
