Windows removed the snip tool and the interface changed. When you attempt to open it, you see a different result. Cropping photos in Photoshop now requires a separate tool, not the old snipping feature. It wasn’t found in Cortana either.
I haven't received the latest updates for my Win10 Pro. I noticed a notification about the Snip tool being included in an upcoming release, suggesting the use of enhanced 'Snip and Sketch' capabilities.
Pressing Windows+Shift+S displays an unwanted overlay that I don’t like—it copies to the clipboard without letting you pick a save location.
You recently noticed something about our Windows 10 machines... It seems Microsoft is trying to push more unnecessary tools. Anyone else think this is just another attempt by Microsoft to complicate things?
The issues you're experiencing aren't related to official Microsoft support.
Snip & Sketch swaps the previous Snipping Tool. It delivers identical features with added capabilities and several enhancements.
