It’s a complete mess!
It’s a complete mess!
I rediscovered my vintage CD-ROM version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It was enjoyable to play. However, while experimenting with the options, I selected an unsupported display resolution, which has now rendered the game unplayable. Does anyone have advice on how to adjust this and get it running again? Thank you.
P.S. – I’m uncertain if my saved game data will remain intact. 🙁
The Wolfenstein installation typically includes a configuration file (.cfg) located within its primary directory; this file is commonly named config.cfg. You can use programs like Notepad or Wordpad to open and modify this file. Examine it for entries regarding the display resolution and adjust them to your desired settings, such as 1280x1024 or 800x600. As a last resort, removing and reinstalling the game will generate a fresh configuration file.
