Hey! Thanks for the update, @rentaspoon. Great to see your setup coming together before Saturday at Wauthar. The wing commander Dralthi is a nice pick too, thanks!
Remains a bit disappointed they didn’t include a singing fish. It looks like you posted the image, then after ten seconds it starts moving and making sounds. I’d have been overwhelmed, haha. Sorry for missing that opportunity, but they did their best.
Just so you know its April 1st. I believe all this has to do with that. Check RSI website. edit: i didnt read the whole thread someone already commented.
It’s actually quite simple to adapt the code so existing elements can move beyond their limits. They just swapped the hangar for a big fish tank and added flying fish. It probably took a handful of bored individuals an hour at most. There’s a clear distinction between building something new from scratch versus adjusting what already exists for a bit of entertainment. Most of the effort on this April fools’ prank came from the community and PR team, not the developers. I’m pretty sure it didn’t slow down the game’s overall progress. Regarding performance, most work is finished, but it didn’t impress those at pax east. They had too few ports, the version wasn’t right, and they figured releasing now would be worse than delaying. Adding animations, fixing bugs, polishing mechanics—game development shouldn’t rush. I’ve seen companies like EA, Bethesda, and Ubisoft release poorly made products for full price and still not fix everything. If they have time, let them enjoy it.
Likely an element that's been around for a while, honestly I wasn't expecting it to be so amusing, but it could boost the team's spirits.
