It triggers a restart when you tap or bump it.
Hello there. I’m dealing with an odd problem where tapping or bumping the PC case causes it to restart repeatedly. At first I assumed a loose connection was the cause, so I rechecked everything, but the issue persisted. Then I tried booting in BIOS and repeated the same action—this time it didn’t trigger a reboot. I got even more aggressive during testing, yet it still happened. After restarting to Windows, it rebooted again after just a few taps. Could you suggest any next steps? My system specs are: Intel 11 Pro CPU, Ryzen 2700X, MSI B450 Gaming Pro carbon, Corsair RM650x PSU, MSI 3070Ti GPU, Samsung 980 NVME HDD, plus two NVMe SSDs and two HDDs in a Lian-Li LANCOOL II mesh case. Also, I have a secondary NVMe drive. RAM: Vengeance RGB PRO, 16 GB.
It's often due to a loose or improperly connected PSU cable. Verify that the main power cable is securely attached.
It could be your PSU. Check the temperature in BIOS. Damaged PSUs may cut power when under load. Before jumping to conclusions, try booting into a Linux installation to confirm it's not Windows-related issues.
