Have you tested changing the sticks in the opposite slots? Also, did you attempt to run each stick individually?

Both sticks in either DIMM slot can work. None of the four setups cause a POST failure or unusual RAM amounts.

Open msconfig.exe, navigate to the Boot tab, select Advanced Options, and verify if Max Memory is checked. If it is, uncheck it and restart the system.

It won’t power on with one of the sticks, though the other works. I tested both last night and they both functioned, so it seems that stick is faulty.
