It seems you're checking if your PCIE4 is active and wondering about the BIOS version it supports. This feature is tied to your system's BIOS settings, which can affect compatible CPUs. Let me know if you need more details!

The PCIe4.0 is probably coming from the GPU's identifier chipset, indicating it can utilize PCIe4.0 capabilities, which means it could operate at a maximum of PCIe4.0. This might or might not confirm your board supports PCIe4.0, and I wouldn't guarantee it for a B350. It could work independently, perhaps.

Your CPU is compatible with PCIe 4.0, the board features 3.0 x16 and 4.0 x4 ports, and the GPU is also 4.0. In practice, however, you're using PCIe 3.0 despite these specs. To achieve PCIe 4.0 with minimal adjustments, consider upgrading to a B550 motherboard from the budget range.

Hey guys... I think I’ll have to replace this Mobo after about 6-7 years. That’s a lot of time! As for that screenshot, I really want to get a PCIe 4.0 M.2 drive and I can’t find the BIOS info on MSI’s site.

That connection speed makes perfect sense given the performance level. It's really low quality, but it's true.

Even with a 3x16 and 4x4 setup, I'm still satisfied. I believe the 4070 won't overheat a 3x16 anyway, so... 4x4 NVMe sounds great! I'm curious about how a 4x M.2 can be PCIe 4 without the graphics slot also being PCIe 4—it feels a bit contradictory based on what I know. Aren't both components separate from the CPU?
