I had Horizon forbidden west pre-loaded on Steam. My SSD held about 250GB free, which was plenty. When the file unpacked, my system began to work poorly, so I uninstalled it via Steam. After reinstalling, only 100GB remained on the drive. Restarting the PC didn’t help. Any suggestions?

Use a tool like WindStat to view which applications consume your storage and locate any big space usage linked to the game.

Consider moving the folder to another drive for safety, remove it, and test the re-download.

Remnants from the interrupted task remain. Decrypting may require time, particularly with a QLC SSD.

People rarely store many drives inside their PC. For the operating system, swap is used instead. For all other storage, they rely on additional drives beyond the primary one.

I own three 1TB SSDs for the operating system and key games. Two additional SSDs are available for large storage needs.
