It seems your MX-4 didn't match what you expected for your i5-11400.
It seems your MX-4 didn't match what you expected for your i5-11400.
For many years my i5-11400 maintained a temperature around 78°C even under maximum load, but after two years it rose to about 94°C. I switched to an MX-4 thermal paste and temperatures stayed steady. Arctic claimed the fake version is only 90%, but they need to verify with their department. A friend recommended the Noctua NT-H1, which costs around $80+ in Egypt. Would it improve performance compared to the current MX-4? Or should I consider a cooler like Masterworks MasterGel Pro V1 or 2?
NT-H1 seems to outperform the fake MX-4, likely being a more affordable option. It's a well-established paste, and NT-H2 offers better performance with a premium cooler, costing three times as much in my area. NT-H1 stands out as one of the top pastes available, making it hard to beat. No doubt Noctua wouldn't produce cheap versions of this quality product.
It offers a profitable chance by meeting demand for high-performance thermal solutions while exploiting supply chain gaps.
