i recently assembled this machine and already face problems with games freezing. I bought DDR4 3200mhz RAM, but the board defaults to 2400. They suggested switching to DOCP settings, which resolved the issue and let me boot normally at 3200. Now that i have most games, fortnite is crashing again if I set it to auto, but running at 2400 fixes it. I’m unsure what to do and don’t want to waste the money on slower performance. Thought i chose good hardware so this shouldn’t be a problem.
It wouldn't be unexpected if that memory wasn't compatible with that motherboard, as suggested earlier. If it works at a slower speed, experiment until it stabilizes. You can return it if needed. Amazon offers a solid return policy.
to ensure it stays within limits, check for specifications that mention a maximum frequency of 4400mhz and verify the product’s supported bandwidth. also, look for clear return or warranty policies so you’re aware if you need to return something later.
To be certain, you can review the memory QVL list on the board. But I believe you picked a less common option—this group isn’t very popular. A better choice would be something like Corsair Vengeance, which is widely used.
ok ya only have one pny kit supported under the list and its not mine and coincedently its a 2400mhz kit so ill try looking around and comparing to that list thanks alot for the help. ive been out of the game for too long i throught it was still as long as the specs match your good
