It seems you got stuck trying to access the Synaptic Package manager. Let me know how I can help!
Using popOS 19.10 I attempted to learn terminal and install Lutris through it. While reading another site, I mistakenly added the Lutris repositories for Debian instead of Ubuntu. After realizing the error, I tried editing sources via PopShop, which prompted for my password and accepted it before ignoring further requests. When I attempted to remove them using Synaptic Package Manager, the program froze and closed abruptly. I checked /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ and found "lutris.list," thinking it might be unnecessary, but it was grayed out and difficult to delete. I assumed removing it would fix the issue, though I wasn’t sure. I do have Bleach Bit installed, but I haven’t used it because previous advice suggested it’s not the best method for this task. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Remove the specified source file using sudo. Also delete the key if you wish to start fresh. The key is kept in /etc/apt/trusted.gpg, but it may be hashed or encrypted—use sudo apt-key list then sudo apt-key del <key id>. After that, refer to the Lutris installation instructions and skip the League of Legends section.
