After setting up Windows 10 Pro on a new storage, I kept my older Windows 7 installation on the same drive, hoping to switch between them via BIOS when I wanted to play retro games. A lot has changed since then, and I decided to check it out. Installing Mirror's Edge from the disk didn't work, so I installed it from Origin instead. The game functioned properly then. When I tried to run it again, I encountered major graphics driver issues. I suspect Windows 10 may have affected Windows 7. I should mention that both systems have BitDefender installed, and I'm cautious online, so it doesn’t seem my responsibility. This situation feels odd. After wiping the old OS, Windows 10 seems to run much more efficiently.

No indication appears that switching OS to another drive caused problems. Win7 lacks official patch support, and this, combined with major software companies limiting their products on unsupported systems, is more likely the cause. The only confirmed outcome when multiple drives are connected during a Win10 installation is that the MBR is placed on the wrong drive.
