This situation is quite confusing. I own an outdated server-style computer that handles backups and media storage. For several months, whenever I rebooted or shut it down and then restarted it normally within the operating system, the computer would fail to display any BIOS information. The motherboard brand logo was missing entirely, and the monitor didn’t show anything at all. After trying to re-seat the RAM, moving it to different slots resolved the boot issue, but the same problem returned when I rebooted. It’s a really puzzling matter. For context, here are the specifications: two DDR3 8GB RAM modules, an older ZOTAC GPU (no exact model known but compatible with GT 700 series), Intel i5-4690K processor, and an ASROCK Z97 Pro4 motherboard. If you have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’d consider swapping out the BIOS battery. It seems like it’s nearing its end anyway.

Remove the RAM modules, forcefully clear all slots using compressed air. Use a pencil eraser to gently rub the memory contacts, then wipe with a dust-free cloth. Launch Setup (Bios) and select Bios to Defaults, typically pressing F5 during the BIOS menu. If issues persist, discharge the CMOS battery and clear it before powering back on. Follow the instructions on the forum for further guidance.
