Normally expected, possibly slightly reduced because my 3800X will raise all cores to 4.2Ghz but that might only reflect cooling changes. 4.5Ghz provides a boost for single-threaded tasks. For multithreaded scenarios, 4.1 stays close to the expected range.

The 4.5 AMD label on the package indicates maximum potential gain, but most users only notice one core reaching its peak occasionally. I think adding voltage and manually adjusting the clock could help, though my attempts with a similar setup to mine produced much lower returns—just a few extra frames per second, more heat, and greater instability for the CPU. I wouldn’t be concerned about 0.2 GHz, especially since others achieving higher clocks usually just happened to get lucky with silicon conditions.
