Hey there, friends. After updating the BIOS on my Ryzen 7 7700X, I’m needing a few restarts for my AIO MSI Coreliquid 240R V2 to keep the CPU cool. When I power on, temps start climbing right away with fans spinning at full speed but nothing changes. After a few restarts, it works smoothly and the temps stay under 50°C with fans running normally. I’ve double-checked the power connections and looked into the BIOS settings, but nothing seems to be missing. Got no ideas left. My board is a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX with BIOS version F6B.

It might be related to the voltage issue with the AM5 board. Consider reverting to the earlier BIOS version.

The Gigabyte Page has versions since F4. My current version is F2. Would you consider moving back one step from F6B to F6?

Take a step back and evaluate whether it works. Check gamernexus's video on new AMD CPUs burning—though it's unclear if it impacts the 7700X, still it's wise to be cautious.

It seems to resolve on its own, I suppose.

Rolling back is the worst decision you could make. The older models are the ones with excessive voltage... You should always use the newest version.

The information provided is from March 30, 2023, after the Ryzen 7000 update. The advice given is to proceed with caution and consider current recommendations for that timeframe.

Generally it works but the recent update is what triggered the issue, so I also suggested he check gamernexus's video.
