since it automatically boosts sound using an equalizer, it might work well for you, but the way audio plays varies a lot from person to person. the main issue comes from DRM restrictions and compatibility problems with different codecs, which can cause crashes when trying to play multimedia files.

It's true, I've seen this difference before. Back then, when I compared WMP with Media Player Classic, I realized WMP typically handled DVD quality at 8 or 16-bit. In contrast, MPC, VLC, and similar players could support 24-bit high-fidelity output.

I recently moved to MPC-HC and haven't revisited WMP much. It's a solid choice for handling audio and video files!
