I encountered an issue recently. Previously it was simple to fix, but now it's more complicated. Here’s how Chrome looks like now: http://prntscr.com/4rqa7m The links there are bothersome—especially when I type emails or click videos. Sometimes pressing Enter opens a random window with a poker site or something similar. I searched the Control Panel but couldn’t locate anything. SpaceSniffer didn’t help either, and reinstalling Chrome didn’t resolve the problem. There’s another issue too: when I try to download or delete files, it shows this warning page: http://prntscr.com/4rq95u. Anyone know what this means and if there’s a concern? Thanks!

Verify your add-ons, they might be causing the issue. chrome : //extensions/

It seems you're dealing with some unwanted software. You might want to use a scanner like AdAware to check. I haven't experienced adware since 2007, so you're in good company!

Maybe, though I'm fairly certain viruses don't underline words. The second picture might be another possibility.

It seems possible, this idea has been discussed before.

Search for "adwcleaner" and execute it. Should it fail, turn off any newly installed extensions.

Absolutely, you're noticed everywhere. I've experienced this too. Make sure to review your extensions and turn off anything unusual. It helped me.

It occurred to me recently. It stuck onto something I saved from cnet. It was concealed inside a "Weather App" I didn’t intend to install at all.

It's strange... Do you recall the location? It might be the same thing just named differently. I checked, but nothing other than CIRC and Adblock was present. I've had these extensions for over five months now. Extensions aren't working at all. I'm planning to try an ad cleaner. Do you know how to remove it? Any suggestions? I've been using Microsoft Essentials for years, though it's not great. This is my second time, but the first was easy in the control panel. D: Honestly, I don't know either—I've been careful so far, so it's unclear how it got here. D: Any idea how to get rid of it? Checked, only found Adblock and CIRC, which I use for Battlefield 4 Clan.
