It requires a single stick of RAM for PC operation.
Hey everyone, I’m facing a problem with my PC. It only boots with one RAM stick installed, even though my motherboard has two dual-channel slots (A1 and B1). I have the Corsair Vegeance 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM. The first stick works in both slots, but the second one only functions in B1 and fails in A1. When I connect a second stick alone into A1, the system won’t boot while fans and lights are active, though it sometimes starts and lets me open Windows. After a while, it freezes or triggers a BSOD. I’ve shared my specs and tried several fixes: resetting via Windows, cleaning everything, reapplying thermal paste, replacing the CMOS battery, updating drivers and OS, swapping the GPU, and upgrading the power supply. I also tested the SSD with CrystalDiskInfo and ran MemTest86 on both sticks—results were good. If you have any tips or know what’s wrong, please let me know! Thanks!
I haven't installed any BIOS updates for that board. I don't have access to your system settings or recent modifications.
