PC experiences random freezes followed by a clean reboot without BSOD, only when no game is running. Event viewer log was provided after the restart. Previous troubleshooting steps include: installing latest drivers, disabling XMP BIOS update, testing RAM with single stick and different types, running memory and power tests with OCCT, checking disk health via Crystal Disk Info, trying alternative PSU, switching GPU, reseating CPU. Current hardware: Windows 10, Intel Core i7-12700K, 12-core processor, G.Skill Ripjaws V RAM, ASRock OC Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card, Super Flower Platinum PSU. Next actions should focus on further diagnostics without replacing components yet.

The Windows power configurations are adjusted according to your selection. For the balanced scheme, switch to high performance. You may also turn off core parking in the BIOS or via an application named ParkControl. Because this occurs only when the PC is idle, it might be a power-saving mechanism activating it.

It's uncommon for a CPU to fail, but from a hardware standpoint, I'd consider swapping out the motherboard first. Other options include attempting a full Windows reinstall or an in-place upgrade. If issues persist after a clean Windows setup, it likely points to a hardware problem. @Mumintroll's suggestions are also worth checking.

It refers to modifying the system directly without replacing it, like upgrading to a winning strategy. You’re unsure about it because changing in place can feel risky.

You're likely already using a high-performance power configuration. If your issue persists despite a fresh Windows install, consider checking for software or hardware conflicts. Also, confirm whether you're using an SSD and whether a firmware update is required.

Using a USB installer or the Media Creation utility for your current Windows version allows you to reinstall Windows completely, effectively performing a repair install without losing files or programs. Although the interface may appear outdated, the process remains consistent.

Mb, here are your present storage configurations: one SSD for booting, another for gaming, and a third for media files.

Sure, I can clarify that process for you. Checking and updating SSD firmware typically involves accessing the device's settings or manufacturer interface, searching for available updates, and following prompts to install them safely.
