Hi there. I just purchased a Lexar Professional NM710, which is a new NVMe 1.4 SSD on the German market. When it works properly, performance is excellent. However, I’m facing an issue—it doesn’t get recognized by Windows or BIOS until I restart the PC at least once. I’ve read about similar problems before, but the solutions seem varied. My motherboard is an MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk WiFi, and I have another M.2 drive in slot 2 of what I think are the PCIe Gen 4 x4 slots. I also have three SATA SSDs, which all boot up correctly and recognize at once. This simultaneous recognition is something I haven’t seen from others with similar concerns. I’m curious about what might be causing this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance, James Specs.

It's possible the system needs more time to set up before switching to Windows, then it keeps the last boot state without power loss. That seems unusual. I'd want to see what PCIe version your M.2 cards support. PCI_E2 and M.2_3 use similar bandwidth. Also, try using a different PCIe slot besides M.2_3.

Here are the details for the remaining M2 slots as well.

Thanks for your help. The issue involves the In M2_1 drive, and Lexar indicates it's operating at full speed (sorry, I can't adjust the app language). There are no critical errors reported in the settings, though there are power cycle warnings. I plan to update the firmware of my other M.2 drive—a Kingston SA2000M8/1000G PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD installed in the M2_3 slot. I won't use the PCI_E2 port for anything. No idea if this will resolve anything. Appreciate your time and support. James

Current setup reads using PCIe 1.0 x4. Verify BIOS settings and adjust M2_1 to PCIe 4.0 x4 manually.
