Hello, I've been building my PC five years ago and have upgraded it several times. My most recent upgrade was a 3080. I think something might be off because I'm only achieving 100-110fps in games like CS2 at 165Hz and 1080p with medium settings for everything else. I've checked the stats, and both CPU and GPU temperatures are normal and stay below 100% usage. I'm taking a break from university soon and want my system to run more smoothly for gaming. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Here are my specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core at 3.60GHz; GPU - RTX 3080; RAM - 32GB at 3200MT/s; Motherboard - ROG X570; Main monitor - 1080p @165Hz; Secondary monitor - 4K @60Hz.

That 3700X isn't suitable for serious gaming. It has cores but isn't a high-performance chip. AMD was still developing during that time. CS2 demands a lot from the CPU, making it even more of a challenge. Is the 3080 referring to the 10GB version?

Your 3700x might be restricting you in achieving higher frame rates for E-Sports games, particularly CS2. Even if it isn’t fully using its capacity, it could still be hindering your performance. The data shows that a 5600 (which is faster than 3700x) is also being limited by the RTX 4080.

For gaming, it's always on. Don't waste time with the much cheaper 5700x3d—it's just too close.

It shows the 10GB upper right corner on your screen. You're not using much of it, are you? AAA gaming at 1440p will likely hit that limit and affect performance a bit. Useful to know if you replace the CPU or switch to 1440p. Just some info. And yeah... 5700x3d unless you plan a full platform upgrade.
