You're experiencing issues with your motherboard. It seems the power LED is connected to the power supply, but the PSU isn't working. The PC case hasn't helped either. You might want to check the power cable, ensure the PSU is properly seated, or test with a different power source. If problems persist, consult a technician.

If the power LED lights up on the power switch headers, it suggests the motherboard is receiving power at least temporarily. Are there any other components showing activity, such as lights, fans, or the num lock? If not, inspect the 24-pin power connector carefully—try re-seating it fully. If it still doesn’t work, the issue likely lies with the motherboard, power supply unit, or CPU. For a new build, first verify the 4/8-pin power connector for the CPU. If that fails, the entire setup may be faulty. Consider using an additional PSU as a backup if you have one available.

I believe it’s either the CPU or the motherboard. We tested it with a different power supply, but the issue remained the same. The new PSU was installed on another PC, yet it didn’t fix the problem. The old M.S.I. B85M E45 motherboard was functioning properly before we moved it to another system.
