I've noticed similar setups before, but I switched from Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200MHz CL16 to Corsair Vengeance 2x16 at 3600MHz CL18 (trying 3200MHz CL16). Other components: CPU is Ryzen 2600, motherboard ASRock B450 Pro4, power supply 550W. I use the same slots and install them separately, but when both are installed together it halts after the motherboard post screen.
Additional RAM puts more strain on the memory controller, particularly with dual-rank modules—using two dual sticks is similar to four single sticks. It's strange that it doesn't work at the official memory limit for the 2600 (DDR4-2933). Are you using the newest BIOS?
I upgraded it recently. For the standard was CL15, what clock speed would support a 2933MHz processor?
You can test it at CL15. In principle this should function because the actual time difference between 3600 CL18 and 2933 CL15 is essentially the same in nanoseconds. The clock speed for DDR4-2933 would be 1466MHz, since DDR means double data rate, making the data rate twice the clock speed.
