Hey, your setup looks solid with those components. The mainboard should handle gaming well because both the CPU and GPU use PCIe Gen.4. You're already using the newest BIOS, which is a good choice.

It's not about that. With a 6500 XT or an RX 6400, things would be different, but with these components it's fine.

Currently, Gen 4 isn't relevant unless you're considering GPUs with 16 PCIe lanes and a 4.0 generation chip like the 6500XT—significantly slower than the 5700XT or the 4060Ti.
