Essentially, the updates you receive are exactly what you require; you won’t be able to save wallpapers or create a personalized theme. This is similar to the experience in Windows 7.

Failing to install key/OS is a significant risk I’ve heard about. The worst outcomes could be: 1) losing your money, 2) having your credit card details stolen and facing further losses, and 3) potentially being charged or involved in legal issues depending on local laws.
