My motherboard model is B450 Tomahawk. I installed an Orico SSD case with USB 3.1 Gen 2. Booting from the rear USB-A or USB-C causes it to hang about 90% of the time (the USB I/O LED keeps flashing). I had to perform a hard reboot. The front panel USB 3.0 works normally. Rear USB ports function correctly when OS isn't booted from them. Any suggestions?

The Windows version you want might differ from the USB controller used on the front and back.

Consider turning off power-saving features and testing it. It's strange that the power management section isn't available for most USB controllers in Dev Manager—only a USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) is listed.
