I haven't used optical storage products in more than ten years, so I had to look into it. It looks like standard Blu-ray isn't too bad, with some free players that seem to function well. 4K Blu-ray presents challenges. What's your problem? Also, be ready for things to become increasingly difficult. Physical media disks are disappearing and are no longer common for most people—essentially a dying technology.
I'm experiencing poor internet speed, so the best choice for 4K is Blu-ray. I appreciate Comcast for their service in my area.
