Hello, Your M.2 SSD appears in system details but isn’t listed in bootables. After cleaning and rewiring, everything seems powered on and connected. The drive loaded normally in Windows, but when checking storage info it shows missing. Restarting the PC caused the SATA cable to loosen, so I reinserted it. Now the computer boots into BIOS automatically. Storage details appear under storage information, yet nothing shows up in boot priority. I’ve reset CMOS, changed BIOS settings, and unplugged other drives, but nothing resolves the issue. I attempted an upgrade to Windows 11 from a bootable USB, but it reported insufficient system requirements. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

It seems you're referring to a previous connection that used different ports, possibly one that's now inactive.

You're asking about the implications of not disconnecting the SATA cable after installation. It could affect connectivity and functionality depending on your setup.

It shouldn't be this way. Maybe the cable is faulty. Consider exchanging them and trying again.

I also attempted to swap them, and even changed the cables for the two 2.5 SSDs, but it didn’t seem to have a significant impact.

I resolved the issue, I had to turn off fast boot and activate CSM. EVERYTHING WORKS NOW!

Running Windows 10 on an MBR disk with legacy boot means you'll need a method to convert it to GPT format and switch the BIOS to UEFI-only settings before installing Windows 11.
