I set up a dual-boot between Windows and Linux, and noticed the game runs less smoothly on Windows despite comparable frame rates. Using Lunar Client with Optifne for Minecraft 1.8, I’m experiencing lower FPS on Windows compared to Linux. No one has explained this discrepancy, and I’m unsure how to fix it. Could you offer any insights or suggestions to boost performance on Windows?

Please share your computer details, and I'll verify if you're using the identical OptiFine client across both operating systems.

I'm testing Lunar Client with Optifine on both systems, using an HP Spectre x360 "gem cut" equipped with a core i7-8565U and 16 GB RAM. The same 4K display is connected during sessions. My frame rates range between 45 and 35 FPS, with the minimum fluctuating more noticeably on Windows. I'm not entirely confident about the variations.

Ensure full-screen mode isn't enabled by right-clicking the game's executable file. Disable it if necessary.

It uses Java, which means it doesn’t come as a standalone executable file. I turned off full-screen optimization in the installer’s executable, but I didn’t see any changes.
