Issues with YouTube video playback
I've faced significant challenges with YouTube videos across different browsers. Previously, using Firefox would prevent videos from loading on other sites, like when a YouTube clip was embedded in a Yahoo News article. However, Chrome works fine. Over the past couple of days, I've encountered major issues with YouTube itself—videos wouldn't load at all, requiring multiple refreshes, browser closures, or complete restarts. Despite updating my browser and having Java, Adobe, Webroot, Malwarebytes, and Cleaner installed, the problem persists. My internet speed remains consistent at 20-40MB per second.
You think YouTube continues to rely on Flash by default. Chrome might have been helpful since it includes Flash natively. You might need to update Flash on your device or switch to an HTML5 video player. https://www.youtube.com/html5
It can seem strange, but removing Adobe Flash from Programs and Features often resolves problems with YouTube on Firefox or Internet Explorer. Also, deleting Adobe Flash NPAPI might help. A restart usually isn't necessary. Cheers!
I faced similar problems before I came across this advice. If converting from Flash to HTML isn't working smoothly, adding certain extensions can help. Windows 8.1 often caused flash-related errors, especially with YouTube, making videos stop unexpectedly.
I run on Windows 7 Ultimate. I could attempt to switch to HTML.
I believe many sites are shifting away from Java and adopting HTML more often now.
Sure, I can play the Flash site test video. Just let me know if you'd like any adjustments!
