I found the problem with the Windows update: the installer didn’t produce a log file. I attempted to run sfc /scannow via CMD, but it failed because the log wasn’t present. I’m looking for ways to retrieve the log or fix the installation without this issue.

Perhaps checking out Microsoft forums could be helpful—they might have useful information.

If someone else encounters the same problem, this command seems to resolve it. I'll let you know if it works. Backing up is still recommended before proceeding.

It seems the restorehealth process encounters issues, including scanning errors. Would you like me to suggest alternative solutions instead of reinstalling Windows?

If uncertain, restore Windows from a backup.

I’d need to reset GTA V after my exams finish, then perform a complete reinstall.
