Issues with your network card are really annoying.
I purchased a TP-Link AC1200 PCIe network card some time ago, mainly because my gaming rig lacked built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It had a 5-star rating on Amazon, which influenced my decision. Over time, I encountered several issues: the device frequently displayed extremely high ping spikes—like over 30,000 in Hunt Showdown—and similar problems with Rust. The 2.4GHz band didn’t connect properly; it would attempt to link to a 2.5GHz network but often returned connection errors or DNS warnings. The 5GHz network functioned but still experienced those annoying ping spikes. I’ve tried TP-Link drivers and even Intel alternatives, as the chip is an Intel dual-band wireless AC 7265. Despite my efforts, I realized it might be time to return the card, as a fix seems unlikely. Could there be a missing setting or another workaround I’m unaware of? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
