You're likely considering purchasing two separate components rather than a single unit. Thanks for your guidance!

This would make sense as a strategy. I’ll keep contacting Netgear if they’re under warranty just to understand their support options. On the other side, you could potentially convert your existing equipment into a modem by switching it to bridge mode, which can be cost-effective. It’s unclear whether you need to involve Comcast for this change, as they don’t offer flexible customer adjustments for rented devices. The most affordable route might be configuring DNS settings directly on all your devices, though managing that across many units could be challenging.

Sure, I have various devices like laptops, computers, smart TVs, and other internet-connected gadgets. Most of them are already using Norton's DNS servers, which isn't a big issue. I'm just happy they function properly and perform well. I'll keep using Netgear for now. Thanks!

I looked at the router logs to explore what’s happening. I noticed several entries in one day, which might indicate activity or issues. What should I take next?

It's tough to say. The DDoS attacks seem a bit troubling. But unless it's affecting anything, Comcast won't take any action.

Yeah, It is concerning. I don't have any reason as to why anyone would DoS anything. It isn't causing any kind of disturbance in performance. Any suggestions at all? No idea who or what would do this. Is there a way I can at least find out who or what is causing this? The router itself has built in DOS protection.

Comcast is the only one capable of assisting. The issue is that unless it affects other users, they won’t care much. Most of their support team seems uninformed about things like DDoS attacks.
