My recent setup has encountered some problems. The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X at 4.5 GHz with 8 cores, paired with a Gigabyte GAMING OC Rev 2.0 GeForce RTX 3060 featuring 12GB VRAM and a 12GB video card. The motherboard is an MSI PRO B650-P ATX with Wi-Fi and AM5 support. RAM is G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (two 16GB modules) using DDR5-6000 CL36. The CPU cooler is the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 with 50.5 CFM airflow. The power supply is a Thermaltake Smart 700W certified ATX unit. There are occasional issues where the screen remains black after turning on, requiring a restart to resolve. Once operational, the display shows error messages and a "device not found" warning at the bottom, directing me to BIOS settings. I’m unsure how to resolve these and hope it stops working.

I also face another concern: my monitors occasionally go black while other hardware functions normally—my microphone, keyboard, and headphones work fine, but the computer stays on. A red and orange indicator light appears on the motherboard. The solution so far is simply turning it off and back on repeatedly, yet the problem persists. This has started recently; I don’t know what triggers it, though it’s happened three times already. After the first incident, the system was back online for about an hour, then the second failure occurred within 30 minutes.

Lastly, when attempting to download AMD Adrenaline, I encounter conflicting errors. One indicates incompatibility of my graphics driver with the game, providing a link to a compatibility checker. After running it, the issue continues despite confirming driver compatibility.

I faced comparable problems with my own 7700x and Nvidia GPU. I resolved it by adjusting the BIOS settings and turning off the built-in graphics on the CPU (iGPU). This helped avoid conflicts with my Nvidia GPU and drivers. MSi Afterburner failed to detect the Radeon onboard graphics, only showing the onboard graphics. Could you share the specific Thermaltake Smart 700w PSU model you have? There should also be details like BM2 or BM1 listed.

I attempted to re-download Adrenaline after disabling onboard graphics, but it triggered an error stating an incompatible Radeon product was found.

You seem confused about downloading Adrenaline software for the iGPU despite having it turned off. This doesn't make sense. You don't need it—your GPU is an Nvidia model, so you should get the corresponding drivers. If you need tuning or monitoring tools for the 7700x, you should download Ryzen Master instead. The Thermaltake Smart White 80+ isn't a suitable power supply; it's unsafe and should be replaced right away. Check the PSU tier list—it's listed under Tier F and needs immediate replacement.

Thanks for the tip—it applies to more than just AMD graphics cards. I’ll update the power supply once I can afford it. I’m considering the Corsair RM850e.

Great week ahead! The RM850e works well and an 850W unit will cover most future upgrades. I use a Corsair RM750i with my own 7700x and an overclocked RTX 4080, drawing about 450W during intense gaming. The MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850W also offers solid power delivery and a 10-year warranty versus the RM850e’s 7 years. It’s also around $30 cheaper, which makes it a strong option. You might want to replace your Thermaltake PSU sooner rather than later, especially if you plan to switch it. Just avoid using any cables from your old PSU and use fresh power cables when changing the PSU.

A ten-year warranty is significantly better than seven. We're unsure about the exact cost of the power supply, but I'd choose his option if possible.
