Issues with X6 1055t following overclocking
My setup includes:
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H rev 1.1
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
GTX 950 2GB SC
275GB crucial SSD
500GB Seagate Barracuda HDD
10GB RAM
PREPARED FOR GAMING
I recently increased the overclock of my AMD Phenom II X6 1055T a few days back. It functioned well until last night. I began encountering random messages while the system ran, eventually reaching a blue screen stating "Windows encountered a problem."
Initially, I set it to 3.8, believing it could manage the overclock, but the PC wouldn’t boot into Windows. I lowered it to 3.6, which seemed to resolve the issue until last night when my USB drivers crashed unexpectedly while playing Overwatch. I powered off the machine and waited until today.
Currently, at 3.6 OC from the stock 2.8, I’m playing Overwatch again when it freezes and the CPU triggers the blue screen with the same message.
Every time I attempt to boot into BIOS (pressing DEL during startup), it blocks access and jumps straight to Windows login.
Could someone assist me with this situation? How can I return to the original 2.8 setting if the CPU struggles at 3.6 OC? And what’s the best way to access BIOS now if the system refuses entry?
Help is needed.
Consider whether you need the 1090t or 1100t and check if your overclocking was correct.
