Have you attempted to fill in what's missing in the registry? Be sure to restart your computer after making the change.

I also attempted that but it failed. I looked into the services manager and found one of the Windows Defender services is disabled. I tried configuring it for automatic startup, but it returned an access denied error. When I started it manually, the following error appeared. I've attached a picture for reference.

Perform a system restore while avoiding dependence on Windows Defender. It often fails antivirus certification and isn't reliable. A mix of Malwarebytes and tools like Avast, Eset Nod or Panda antivirus is more effective.

It seems Windows Defender is blocking the system restore feature. I can't access advanced settings or the recovery menu. Previously, McAfee helped resolve issues with games and apps. For regular protection, consider Malwarebytes for scans and another one for ongoing defense.

Yes, mostly options available outside Norton and McAfee.
